🎞️ film reel proof
every before/after ad i've ever seen does the same thing. two photos side by side, a little arrow, done. but the part that actually sells it is the stuff in between, the thirty mornings of doing the thing, and nobody ever shows that. so i made a template where the in-between is the whole show. a dull day 1 polaroid gets yanked into a 35mm strip, the days go flying past, it slams on day 30, the flash goes off and the after photo develops right in front of you.
i went looking in svgator's gallery for something like it and there wasn't a single before/after ad in there. so this felt worth filling.
first brand was lumen, a night serum, cluttered shelf to one amber bottle. then i wanted to know if it actually holds up as a template, so i dropped in nook, a little interior studio, cramped grey room to a warm one in 10 days, new palette, new copy, same exact motion. it held.
to make it yours: → swap the two photos with replace image → retype the copy, it's all live text → every layer is named (logo, headline-after, product-image-before, cta-text…) so you're never hunting → recolour and you've got a new brand
works for anything that sells a transformation. skincare, fitness, haircare, cleaning, renovations.
how it got made: the whole thing was built through the svgator mcp with claude, every layer and keyframe placed by api call, roughly 170 named layers and 500+ keyframes per brand. the film strip, bottles and rooms are blender renders, the before shots got a dither pass, and the voiceover and sound are elevenlabs. somewhere in there we crashed the editor [software bug], figured out why, and wrote it up for the svgator team lol.
first design challenge i've ever done. had way too much fun.
