Cove - Youth Hostel Brand Identity
Cove is opening in Lewisham this summer: a safe space and hostel for young people who are homeless, in between housing, or rebuilding after crisis.
The brief called for something disruptive and eye-catching, but here's the thing: this isn't a product people should feel excited to need. So instead of loud, I went warm.
The wordmark hides a house shape inside the "O" shelter, built right into the mark itself. Bubble-rounded type, terracotta and cream tones instead of clinical blues, and a system that scales from a London billboard all the way down to Instagram content and a subtle motion identity.
A speculative project, but treated with the same rigour as a live brief.

24 THINGS I LEARNED AT 24 | Brand Designer Edition
Turning 24 felt like a good moment to look back at the lessons that have shaped the way I work, think and run my studio today.
Some came from projects that went exactly as planned. Others came from learning the hard way.
But the biggest shift has been realising that good design is rarely just about making something look good. It’s about clarity, positioning, systems, process and knowing what actually serves the brand behind it.
These 24 lessons have shaped how I approach every project now: with more intention, stronger boundaries and a much bigger focus on building brands that work beyond the moodboard.

The symbol combines valuation arrows, checkmarks representing a completed deal, and a star for certainty — all within one compact geometric mark.
