I recently experimented with AI tools to create promo videos for my SaaS product. The promise? Lightning-fast, high-quality animations in minutes. The reality? Not quite there yet.

Here's what I found:

Text clarity: Blurry and hard to read – crucial for calls-to-action.

Animations: A bit jittery and unnatural, lacking that polished flow.

Control: Zero fine-tuning over elements, timings, or styles. It's "good enough" but not great.

Don't get me wrong – AI is evolving FAST and will disrupt this space. But for now, After Effects and manual tools reign supreme. The precision, creativity, and control they offer? Irreplaceable.

Hello artists, here’s my CapCut challenge submission. I created two AI videos using CapCut Video Studio. The first tells the story of a freelancer struggling with complex editing software late at night, until CapCut Video Studio launches in the morning and transforms his workflow. The second shows how CapCut and Contra together change his life and open new creative opportunities. I also included a full process video at the end showing how I created everything.
