Explored halftone for Chrome Hearts brand poster.
My thought process was how can I use halftone for any brand's visual identity, because the effect is so grunge, but found the perfect brand to match the grunginess.
Chrome Hearts is luxury for outliers & rebels. The whole brand's concept is unapologetic and to be rare.

Halftone usually drags a mark downmarket toward photocopied-zine territory, which is exactly why it works on a house whose whole luxury is built on rebellion. Does the dot texture survive small social crops, or does it start to fill in at that size?

Yes, that's something I'd account for in Photoshop. You can adjust the halftone's dot size and contrast, color depending on the final crop. Using larger more spaced out dots for small social crops and reducing the contrast so the texture doesn't visually merge into a solid tone.
