A wedding website should feel like the invitation guests have been waiting for. This concept shows how I’d design a destination wedding site in Sicily: romantic, editorial, and nothing like a generic template.
The design takes its cues from vintage European stationery. It uses hand-painted watercolor lemon and olive branches, an invitation-card hero with fine double borders, calligraphic script paired with refined serif type, and a warm paper-and-terracotta palette. Your own watercolor artwork and Save the Date drop straight into this system.
What’s designed:
Homepage: Save the Date hero, welcome message, and venue story
Wedding weekend itinerary: one card per event with dress code and an “all guests” or “by invitation” label
Travel and accommodations: airport info, transfers, and room-block hotels
Sicily recommendations: places to eat, see and visit, with filters
FAQs: an accordion that’s easy to extend
RSVP: guests find their own invitation, reply separately for each event, add a plus-one, and share dietary needs
Host dashboard: attendance by event, invitations per guest, plus-ones and response status
Built for real use: it’s mobile-friendly, details that aren’t final yet use clearly marked editable placeholders, and everything is set up so you can update it yourself. I’m also available for changes closer to the wedding.
