Hiring someone you've never worked with is a leap of faith... and honestly, most "hire me" posts don't help. They tell you what someone offers, not how it actually goes. So let me close that gap.
Before we even start: a quick discovery conversation
No commitment, no pressure. We talk through what's actually eating your time, what "support" would ideally look like for you, and whether I'm the right fit. If I'm not, I'll tell you and probably point you somewhere better.
Week one: I get the lay of the land
This isn't me disappearing into a task list. I ask questions about your tools, your workflow, your pet peeves, the thing you keep meaning to fix but haven't had time for. By the end of week one, I've usually already spotted at least one small inefficiency worth flagging.
Ongoing: communication that doesn't require babysitting
You'll get regular updates on what's moving, what's done, and what needs your input on a cadence we agree on upfront (daily check-in, weekly summary, whatever actually fits how you work). No mystery. No "what has she even been doing" moments.
What "done" looks like
Done means the task is complete and handed back in a way you can actually use labeled, organized, explained if needed. I don't consider something finished just because it's off my plate; it's finished when it's usable on yours.
The honest part: I'm not going to pretend every project is flawless from day one. Systems get refined. But refinement happens through clear communication, not radio silence and that's the part I take seriously.
If the biggest thing holding you back from hiring support is "but what am I actually getting into?" hopefully this answers it.

Does someone on your team lose a day or two building the sales report every week or month?
That was the starting point at Mokobara, the premium travel brand. Pulling sales across all their stores, checking returns, reconciling the numbers and emailing each manager took 1 to 2 days every cycle, with 8+ hours of that spent just reconciling.
I built them an automation on Make.com a few months ago. It has run on its own ever since, weekly and monthly:
Make pulls every sales record from BigQuery, 100K to 250K per cycle. That is too many for one request, so it reads them page by page and stitches them back together.
It calculates the numbers the team actually uses: net sales per store after returns and discounts, return rates and the change against the last period.
It builds a CSV with the full breakdown and a short email summary you can read in 60 seconds.
It reads a Google Sheet of store representatives and emails every one of them the report for their own store.
The result: the reporting problem is gone. The report went from 1 to 2 days of manual work to fully automatic, and the 8+ hours of reconciliation dropped to zero.
Two things I would do the same way again:
Calculate "net sales" in the automation, not in the warehouse. The business rule for what counts as a net sale is not what the raw data stores.
Send people their slice, not the whole report. One report for everyone gets skimmed by everyone.
The figures in the image are placeholders, the real ones stay with the client.

Working on the business is having the space to think:
Where are we going?
What needs to change?
What should we focus on next?
How do we make things work better?
The problem is, when you’re doing too much of the first, the second keeps getting pushed aside.
And sometimes, what you actually need isn’t to work harder.
You need someone who can take ownership of some of the moving parts and give you that space back.
That’s one of the reasons good support matters.
