I have a problem!
I get an idea, get excited, open a new note... and three weeks later it's buried under twelve other "someday" projects.
Turns out most ideas don't actually fail. They just get forgotten.
I don't think I'm alone in this ā so for Figma's Config Makeathon, I built
CITYDEA: a city where every idea you have becomes a building!
Give it attention ā a note, a photo, a voice memo, a reflection ā and it grows. Ignore it, and it slowly decays into ruins. Not as punishment. Just as an honest reflection of where your attention actually goes.
It's less "productivity app" and more a quiet, honest record of what you actually cared about, and for how long.

Built with Figma Make, Figma Weave (for assets), Figma MCP (w/ Codex) and Figma Design w/ Agent (for iterating on design system). I also use Antigravity IDE and manual adjustment for final polishing.

I built a digital postcard wall for every Config 2026 speaker. It's called Wall of Love.
Built the entire thing in Figma make , with stickers designed in Figma weave.
Every speaker has a card. You open it, flip it over, and leave a sticker on the back, your way of saying their talk made a difference.
I kept thinking about postcards. A card that gets passed around, written on, and stamped. That's what Config feels like.
Wall of Love is that. But the cards are digital, the stamps are stickers, and the hands are the entire design community.
The part I love most: come back after the conference and see what the community left behind. Every card tells a different story.

š Submitting Digital Kathputli ā here's the story behind it.
When the Config Makeathon was announced, I kept thinking about what I wanted to build. I asked myself one question: "What feeling am I uniquely equipped to digitize?"
The answer came from a childhood memory.
Growing up, I was fascinated by Rajasthani Kathputli ā traditional string puppetry that's been alive for over 1000 years. Not just by the puppets, but by the puppeteers. How they gave life to something lifeless using only their fingers.
I wanted to bring that feeling into the browser.
So I built Digital Kathputli ā an interactive string puppetry experience where your hand becomes the controller, your fingers become the strings, and anyone can become a puppeteer.

š A playful onboarding
šŖ Choosing your puppet
šļø Performing using live hand tracking
š Move your index finger to animate one arm.
š¤ Curl your ring finger to move the other.
ā Raise your hand to lift the puppet onto the stage.
šø Strike your favourite pose and download a vintage Rajasthani postcard as a digital souvenir.

š” What I learned
Building this project meant constantly experimenting, breaking things, and iterating.
The biggest challenges were testing every camera interaction on the published site because the Make preview can't access webcams, working around browser audio restrictions, and simplifying an illustrated puppet rig into something that animated smoothly.
The biggest takeaway?
Better context beats more prompts.
