The Problem: The "Ghost Load" Dilemma In the fast-paced US car hauling industry, seconds translate to revenue. Currently, dispatchers lose precious time constantly switching tabs between multiple load boards. While some platforms, like CentralDispatch, attempt to aggregate loads from other sources, they suffer from a critical flaw: data latency.
By the time a load from a third-party board syncs and appears on CentralDispatch, it’s often a "ghost load." If you want to book it, only to find out another dispatcher already grabbed it at the original source. Dispatchers need a centralized, zero-latency aggregator with a UI built for speed.
The Solution: Built with Flowstep.ai I designed this Load Board Aggregator to solve this exact issue. It brings all active sources into one clean, real-time workspace. But designing for B2B logistics isn't just about making things look modern; it’s about data density and workflow efficiency. While this prototype showcases a select few brokers and load boards, a fully scaled aggregator would integrate all available load boards that match the company's specific transportation profile.
Key Features & Product Logic: High Data Density (List vs. Cards): The initial AI generation suggested a card-based layout. I used targeted prompts to override this and force a rigid, list-based grid alignment. Dispatchers need to scan hundreds of rows instantly, not scroll through bulky cards.
Night-Shift Ready UI: Many dispatchers work night shifts due to time zone differences. I strictly enforced a dark navy theme to reduce eye strain, deliberately avoiding pure black or harsh neon glows.
Smart Workflow: The prototype features a seamless flow. Clicking 'Book Load' automatically routes you to a 'My Loads' tracker equipped with custom dropdown status badges.
Real-World Accounting Logic: When a load status is changed to "Delivered," it automatically moves to the 'Payment Statuses' screen. Crucially, a delivered load doesn't magically become "Paid." It drops in with a "New" status, activating a distinct "Send Documents" button. This mimics the real business process where a dispatcher must first send the signed BOL (Bill of Lading) to the broker before billing occurs.
Thanks to Contra and flowstep.ai for this challenge and the opportunity to build with such an amazing tool! Link to my file: https://app.flowstep.ai/file?activeFileId=d3b89a96-b82c-47b3-a764-098638b9b1d2
