I decided to improve an app I actually use. Every day. IDOS tells me when my tram comes, so I know exactly where that screen slows me down.
This is not a redesign. Same structure, same elements, same colors: I pulled the palette out of the original screen and darkened only the two that fail contrast. It is the app's own screen, arranged so you can read it faster.
The redesign is the next step – the rest of the screens, a new structure, my own decisions about what belongs on them. That is a much bigger piece of work, so I want to know if it is worth doing.

I like that you kept the original structure and focused on readability first. Curious to see part two.

Only touching the two elements that fail contrast instead of a full repaint is such a restrained way to redesign, most people would rebuild the whole screen for a change this small. Did you catch the contrast issue by eye or run it through a checker to confirm?

Thank you! Quick correction: this version went beyond just the contrast fix, cards and layout changed too. But to your question, yes, caught the contrast by eye.
Also, I already have another version I think is even stronger. Planning to run that as its own vote once this one's done :)
