Children’s Book Character Concept: Blue & Blankie

A soft character illustration concept for a children’s picture book featuring Blue, a gentle white Labrador, and his beloved blanket.

The goal was to create a warm, lovable and story-ready main character for young children. I focused on a soft visual style, gentle facial expression, emotional warmth and a safe, friendly atmosphere suitable for a picture book audience.

This project explores character identity, storytelling, mood, composition and AI-assisted visual development with human-led creative direction.

This project is not for everyone. Only for bearded balds. 🙂 I’ve been exploring a concept for a grooming brand built around a very specific idea: one ritual, two zones — scalp and beard. The direction leans into a more premium, editorial feel. Muted tones, tactile materials, soft lighting… keeping it closer to something handmade than overproduced. Most product pages sell features. This one tries to sell a feeling. Still a work in progress, but curious to see where it goes. — I’ve got 2 spots open for new projects this month. Sci-Fi Gaming Character Illustration Design

Concept built around a neon-armored warrior standing on a glowing teal power platform, an angular low-poly character design surrounded by colliding dimensions, crystal shards, energy ribbons, and wireframe UI fragments.

Every element is intentional: the lightning bolt armor signals power, the serpent coiling overhead builds tension, the floating wireframe fragments bridge gaming and digital world-building, and the warm peach-to-purple gradient sky holds the chaos in one cohesive frame.

New book cover artwork for my fiction project Bailalua! - Set against the shimmering, neon-lit horizon of a Brazilian dawn, Bailalua is a transcendent illustrated manuscript that bridges the gap between the physical world and a mystical dimension. The narrative follows Lightfeather’s encounter with a "Daughter of Time," whose iridescent hair reflects the shifting colors of the morning sky as she reveals the hidden architecture of existence through the stories of her children. It is a story that proves the most significant evolution is not found in the external world, but within the deep, quiet mysteries of the human heart.
