Your website isn’t broken.
It’s just… standing there.
Like a bloke at a party holding a drink, nodding, saying nothing interesting.
People land.
They look around.
They want to like it.
Then your headline hits them with:
“Helping you unlock your potential through holistic transformation.”
And their brain quietly packs its bags.
Because now they’ve got to work.
“Is this for me?”
“What do they actually do?”
“Do I need this?”
And no one came to your website to do admin.
So they hesitate.
Then they leave.
Not offended.
Not confused enough to complain.
Just… gone.
This is the bit most wellness founders miss.
Because from the outside?
Everything looks fine.
Clean design.
Nice words.
Feels professional.
But inside the reader’s head?
It’s like being dropped into IKEA with no arrows.
You could figure it out…
But you’re not going to.
I looked at a breathwork brand recently.
Good product.
Real credibility.
Solid business.
Website?
Doing absolutely nothing.
Not because it was bad.
Because it was trying to be everything at once.
• Headline said nothing fast enough
• Audience was too broad
• Benefits sounded like a yoga poster
• Method buried like a family secret
• CTAs just… existed
So I didn’t redesign it.
Didn’t add fluff.
Didn’t “optimise the UX” like a polite little marketer.
I made it do its job.
→ “This is who it’s for” (immediately)
→ “This is what it does” (no thinking required)
→ “This is why it matters” (hit the actual pain)
→ “This is what to do next” (one path, not five)
Same traffic.
Different behaviour.
Because people don’t need a better website.
They need one that removes thinking.
If someone has to pause and figure your site out…
you’ve already lost them.
