For the #ConfigMakeathon I built The Invisible Load 🩶
I had used Figma before, but building something interactive with it felt like a completely different challenge. I saw the Makeathon very last minute and decided to give it a go.
💭 The problem
So many people know they feel overwhelmed, but cannot explain what they are actually carrying.
It is the noticing. The remembering. The checking. The planning. The emotional weight of keeping things moving when no one else can see the full picture.
Because that load often stays unnamed, it can feel personal, isolating, or hard to explain.
✨ The idea
The Invisible Load helps users write one thought they are carrying, then shows where it connects across different areas of life: mental load, caring, household responsibility, health, money, work, parenting, or relationships.
From there, users can see related anonymous thoughts from others, tap “me too” when something feels familiar, and use the result as a conversation starter.
The hope is simple: someone leaves thinking “Maybe it is not just me”
🛠️ What I built
A working interactive prototype with: ✦ a guided thought input flow ✦ invisible load categories ✦ related thought connections ✦ “me too” recognition ✦ a visual network of shared experiences ✦ a conversation starter users can take away
⚙️ What I used ✦ Figma Make to build the working prototype ✦ Figma to shape the visual direction, flow and responsive experience ✦ CapCut to edit the walkthrough video ✦ A lot of late-night trial, error, copy tweaks, mobile fixes, and tiny changes I definitely thought would be “quick” 😅
This is not a mood tracker, confession wall, therapy tool, or social network. It is a small reflection tool for making invisible things easier to see, name, and talk about.
