Hi everyone! This is my very first Rive project. Meet Star Dance Battle—a dreamy broadcast UI where competition meets a sky full of dancing stars. ☁️⭐ I created Star Dance Battle, a live broadcast UI concept for the @Rive × @Contra HQ Broadcast & Livestream Challenge. ✨

The experience is inspired by the energy of Red Bull Breakdance Bboy Battles and the excitement of live dance battles, but reimagined through a whimsical, dreamy world with a softer, more feminine aesthetic.

The stage takes place in a Cloud Kingdom, where every glowing star represents a happy memory or a small moment worth celebrating. As we go through life, we collect these little stars by recording the moments that make us smile. On difficult days, we can revisit this sky of memories and enter Dance Mode—immersing ourselves in music, movement, and the joyful reminders of what we've accomplished and experienced.

Built with Rive Scripting, Data Binding, ViewModels, nested animations, and state machines, the interface reacts dynamically to live match data—from score updates and voting progress to character animations and broadcast transitions—creating a playful and responsive live viewing experience. My hope is that these interactions encourage people to celebrate both the big wins and the little moments that brighten everyday life.

Really like the Cloud Kingdom idea. It makes the whole concept feel unique and memorable.

Shaded in the Clouds — Logo Design & Brand Identity

For Shaded in the Clouds, I developed a complete visual identity designed to feel expressive, whimsical and creative while still remaining polished enough to grow with the brand.

The identity centered around a custom wordmark and cloud motif, with extensive exploration of typography, shape, line weight, color and composition. From the primary logo, I expanded the direction into a flexible visual system that could remain recognizable across digital platforms, physical products and future brand applications.

My work included:

• logo concept development and refinement;

• primary and secondary logo variations;

• custom cloud and supporting brand marks;

• color palette development;

• typography selection and hierarchy;

• alternate logo colorways;

• visual direction and brand applications;

• comprehensive brand guidelines and mockups.

The final system gave Shaded in the Clouds a distinct visual personality while providing enough structure and flexibility for the identity to evolve across future touchpoints.

That script wordmark is beautiful. The whole system feels cohesive and easy to grow with.
