I made a landing page for my new Framer component!
The feature of this page was supposed to be the Scatter/Stack Scroll cards, but it ended up exploring solutions to a significant problem in the Framer Marketplace, especially when it comes to paid components.
I would copy a component and struggle to set it up to match how it looked on its feature page, resulting in a significant waste of time.
By simply allowing users to see whatโ€™s under the hood before committing and letting them copy property values, this resolved any potential setup friction.

Love this approach. Turning a visual feature into a real fix for setup friction in paid Framer components is smart. Letting users see under the hood and copy values saves time and builds trust. @Elisabeth Mauvaisair

Oh, for now it's just an image, and the pasteboard is a text block I manually wrote the properties and their values in. But the goal is to have an actual "mock UI" component that allows for property mapping, so that the original component can be re-rendered/cloned after DOM...

Oooh love this! that's often an issue i face in the marketplace as well, it's super hard to figure out if a component is gonna work for your use case before buying them! This is such a good idea, and also great work! ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Right!? It's a pain point on both ends, too!
I haven't fully launched my components yet, and I'm already realizing that without exposing the properties, it's difficult to showcase the full range of possibilities + teach users how to use highly customizable components without a...
