A cinematic image panel component I built on Framer.
Hover (or tap on mobile) any panel and it expands smoothly while adjacent panels scale up slightly and the rest dim with a vignette overlay, creating a depth effect that feels editorial and high-end.
Built entirely with Framer's code component system and Claude (Anthropic's AI) for logic, performance architecture, and touch interaction handling.
Technical highlights
- Spring physics with exposed Stiffness, Damping & Mass controls
-Neighbor panel scaling for natural depth
-Auto touch-detection; switches from hover to tap on mobile/tablet automatically
-srcSet image compression; browser fetches only the resolution needed
