Another work in progress — a landing page for the Butterfly project.

The task: Explain the Butterfly gesture and why people should care — fast, clear, and emotionally impactful.

The twist: The client loves Apple-style minimalism, so I leaned into a clean, focused direction… but this time built using vibe coding with Claude Opus.

Honestly, it’s wild how fast you can go from idea → structure → polished UI now. This took me almost a day, including concept, layout, and iteration.

Feels like we’re entering a phase where designers can move at 10x speed, but the real question is: Can we keep the taste and clarity at the same level?

I built my first native iOS app this weekend. The client? My wife. The budget? $0 😅 She's a home pastry chef and needed a kitchen timer. Simple brief. Zero negotiation room. Spent most of the weekend designing it by hand in Figma - Dieter Rams vibes, minimalist with a touch of skeuomorphic texture that just feels right on a physical device. Then handed it off to Claude Code to implement in Xcode. Accuracy? Kind of wild. 99% pixel-perfect from my Figma file. A lot of prompting, but it delivered. App's live on TestFlight. Client tested it. Client approved it. Client is still not paying. Next up: multi-step timers - which was actually the feature she asked for in the first place.

I spent over a year as the product designer for Hypernative. They just raised $40M in Series B funding not long ago.

Hypernative is a real time security platform for Web3, protecting billions in assets across 60+ blockchains. The product is genuinely best in class. But when I started, the UX wasn't matching the tech.

The UI was super complex, data heavy, and required a steep learning curve. For a security platform where seconds matter, that's a big problem. If your users can't parse a critical alert instantly, the best detection engine in the world doesn't help.

So We rebuilt the experience around three pillars: clarity, actionability, and scalability.

Clarity meant redesigning the threat severity system so users could gauge urgency at a glance. Actionability meant replacing static alerts with interactive ones that included recommendations, historical context, and mitigation steps right in the UI. Scalability meant building a modular dashboard so different teams could customize the interface for their workflow.

The results were 40% improvement in threat detection response time. 30% increase in user retention. 25% reduction in false positive friction.

In complex B2B products, design is the difference between a tool people tolerate and a platform they rely on. Especially in security so if the UX creates cognitive load at the moment someone needs to act fast, you've already lost.
