Project understanding is the foundation of successful execution. If you don't understand the project, you can't deliver the right result.
From my experience, I’ve learned that you shouldn’t rush to take on or start a project just to get the work moving. Take the time to understand the project properly - what needs to be done, why it needs to be done, what the client or team expects and what the final result should achieve.
If you misunderstand the project at the beginning, you can spend a lot of time and effort working in the wrong direction. No matter how well you do the work, the result may still not be what was actually needed.
Don’t rush the understanding. Ask questions, clarify the requirements and take the time to understand the project before you start.
