🚛 I Built a Custom Website Demo for GetTruckDrivers.com — Hoping My Work Opens the Door to an Opportunity. ❤️
Hey Contra family! 👋
I'm Yash Patel, a 23-year-old web developer and designer from Gujarat, India. 🇮🇳
Today, I want to share something I've been working on with a lot of passion, creativity, and hope.
I recently came across an opportunity from GetTruckDrivers.com, a company that helps trucking businesses across North America recruit qualified CDL drivers.
They were looking for a creative designer to transform their brand into something premium, modern, trustworthy, and memorable.
When I read their requirements, one thing immediately came to my mind:
"What if I actually showed them what I could create instead of just telling them what I can do?"
So I decided to take the initiative and build a personalized website concept specifically inspired by their business and requirements. 💻
🚀 What I focused on in this demo:
🎨 A premium, professional visual identity that builds trust.
🚛 A custom website experience designed around the trucking and driver recruitment industry.
✨ Smooth animations, motion graphics, and interactive elements to make the experience memorable.
📱 A modern, responsive design for desktop and mobile.
🎯 Clear messaging and conversion-focused sections designed to help turn visitors into potential clients.
💎 Carefully selected typography, colors, layouts, and visual details to make the brand stand out.
I wanted to demonstrate not only my web development skills but also my understanding of branding, UI/UX, visual storytelling, and business goals.
❤️ Here's the honest part.
For the past few months, I've been trying to build my freelance career. I've spent countless hours improving my skills, creating demos, and reaching out to potential clients.
I haven't landed my first freelance client yet.
But I'm not giving up.
I know I'm still young, and I have a lot more to learn. At the same time, I genuinely believe in what I can create.
My dream is simple: to build a successful freelance career, work with amazing international clients, and become financially independent so I can support my family.
Every demo I create brings me one step closer to that dream.
If you happen to see this post, I created this concept especially for your business.
I would genuinely love the opportunity to collaborate with your team and help bring your complete visual vision to life — from website design and development to motion graphics, branding, and marketing creatives.
I understand that you're looking for someone who can maintain quality, consistency, and creativity across your brand.
I'd love the chance to prove what I can contribute.
This is an independent concept demo, not an official GetTruckDrivers.com website.
💬 To my Contra community:
I'd really appreciate your honest feedback.
What do you think about this design direction? What would you improve?
And if you're a business owner, founder, or creative director looking for someone who puts genuine effort into every project, I'd love to connect.
I'm not asking anyone to hire me out of sympathy. I'm asking for an opportunity to prove myself through my work. ❤️
Thank you to everyone who takes a moment to support, comment, or share.
Been part of this community for a few years now, sharing my work, joining challenges, meeting some great people, and even picking up a few wins along the way.
I've genuinely enjoyed being part of Contra and seeing how much the platform has grown.
This one means a lot. Big thanks to the Contra team for the recognition!
Congrats Alec, a few years of showing up is the part most people skip. Out of the challenges you joined, which one actually brought a paying client afterwards?
HEATD is a heated Pilates and yoga studio in Mableton, Georgia. The name already said it all, so we made one decision from day one: the heat would be the whole brand 🔥
Amazing project and amazing team.

Curious how the terracotta palette got settled here: did the colour come first and the type follow, or the other way round? The heat idea reads as much through the warm tones as through the name itself.
