This one was a little different from the Kajabi projects we usually work on.
Instead of building a platform for coaches or business creators, we worked with Shafqat Ali Khan Music – an online school dedicated to teaching the centuries-old tradition of classical South Asian vocal music.
The biggest challenge wasn't adding more features or making the design feel trendy. It was creating a website that respected the heritage behind the music while still providing a clear and intuitive experience for today's online students. Sometimes the best design is the one that quietly supports the content rather than trying to stand out.
We're especially happy that the client loved the final result – and even better, they've already seen an increase in course sales after launching the new website.
Projects like this are always a reminder that every audience is different, and good design starts with understanding the people you're designing for.

Nice design

The illustrated miniature style throughout keeps the heritage front and center instead of getting buried under generic course platform UI. Seeing course sales actually go up after launch is the real proof that restraint was the right call here.

Awesome work Serge. What design change do you think helped boost course sales the most?

Stepping outside the usual coach/business-creator Kajabi work for a centuries-old music tradition sounds like a fun change of pace. What was the trickiest part about adapting a platform built for one kind of creator to fit something so different?

You've done a great job translating the richness of Indian culture into a modern digital experience without losing its authenticity. Great Job @Serge Herasymchuk 😍

The line about the best design quietly supporting the content instead of trying to stand out is exactly right for a subject like this. The warm palette and editorial serif let the tradition carry the page, and a lift in course sales is the proof that restraint was the correct call.
