CAPCUT × CONTRA — ENTRY #2
TURN BACK
A 30-second uninterrupted one-take AI film created in CapCut Video Studio using Seedance 2.5. The film follows fighter pilot Arianna “ECHO” Rivera through a continuous aerial sequence where every major turn rewrites the era around her—from modern combat aviation to 1986, 1944, 1918, and finally back to 2026.
I created this film to test whether generative AI could maintain character identity, aircraft continuity, physical flight performance, cockpit perspective, environmental transformation, and believable momentum inside a single unbroken cinematic shot. The workflow used original character and aircraft references, precise opening anchors, timed action direction, face and wardrobe locks, cockpit-mounted camera continuity, grounded flight physics, diegetic sound, and a Roger Deakins-inspired naturalistic visual register.
The final line, “One last turn,” becomes both the story’s climax and the mechanism that brings ECHO back to her own time.

I wanted to explore how AI can tell culturally grounded stories by following a guardian chosen to enter a sacred forest, recover a powerful artifact, and return home to restore hope to his village.

How I built it:
This film was created entirely as a single continuous shot using Seedance 2.5 in CapCut Video Studio. I started by writing a short script and turning it into a detailed prompt, then generated consistent reference images for the characters and setting before executing the final sequence.

What I built:
"Portal Protocol" It is a 30-second sci-fi short film. I made it as one single shot with no cuts using Seedance 2.5 in CapCut Video Studio. A teenage boy finds a glowing arcade machine, gets pulled into an alien jungle, where he must find the courage to face what's waiting for him
Why I built it:
Real Hollywood movies use special effects but they still feel real because of good lighting, texture, and small imperfections So I tried to do the same thing here. I asked for film grain, real lighting, and natural details like rust and dust, instead of a clean CGI look. I also removed anything that looked like a video game. My goal was simple: even with sci-fi effects, it should still feel like it was real movie as the real filmmakers make
