What I built: "Portal Protocol" It is a 30-second sci-fi short film. I made it as one single shot with no cuts using Seedance 2.5 in CapCut Video Studio. A teenage boy finds a glowing arcade machine, gets pulled into an alien jungle, where he must find the courage to face what's waiting for him Why I built it: Real Hollywood movies use special effects but they still feel real because of good lighting, texture, and small imperfections So I tried to do the same thing here. I asked for film grain, real lighting, and natural details like rust and dust, instead of a clean CGI look. I also removed anything that looked like a video game. My goal was simple: even with sci-fi effects, it should still feel like it was real movie as the real filmmakers make #contraseedancechallenge #CapCutCPP #OneTakeFilm

@Ahmad Samama Salehien The one-shot move from the glowing arcade machine into the alien jungle is a tough continuity test. Did adding rust, dust, and film grain help Seedance keep the lighting consistent?

Good question the rust, dust, and grain mostly made it look real. But what really kept the lighting steady was writing both light sources straight into the prompt: the arcade's blue glow, then the jungle's glowing plants. That gave Seedance something clear to follow through the transition, instead of guessing

Nice work, I love it, this came out clean. How long did generation take?
Ahmad Samama's avatar
Thanks! It took a few tries to get the timing right, a few minutes per attempt.

Amazing the jungle scene looks good. Did you use reference images or just text prompts?
Ahmad Samama's avatar
Just text prompts, no reference images, I mainly focused on lighting and material details in the prompt

Overall great work I appreciate

I am wondering that the transition from the arcade to the jungle works well, How did you avoid it looking like a cut?
Ahmad Samama's avatar
I wrote the flash of light into the story itself, so it hides the environment change instead of just cutting to a new scene

hmm good strategy

Feel smooth, good continuity for a single shot, did you write it as one full prompt or split it into parts?
Ahmad Samama's avatar
I wrote one full prompt with timestamps for each scene

Nice Work

Did this take many attempts to get right?
Ahmad Samama's avatar
Yess mostly adjusting the wording around the creature reveal and the transition timing

hahaha I felt it, Ai works well but sometimes we get stuck 😄 Right?
Ahmad Samama's avatar
hehehe Absolutely 😅

Great attention to detail in the textures and lighting, doesn't feels like a typical AI generated clip
Ahmad Samama's avatar
Thanks, that was the main thing I was aiming for, glad it landed 🙋🏻‍♂️

Creature reveal is a nice payoff moment, whole thing flows smoothly without feeling rushed
Ahmad Samama's avatar
Yeah I wanted the reveal to feel earned rather than sudden

The way the camera moves through this feels so smooth, didn't expect that from AI video
Ahmad Samama's avatar
Thanks, that was actually one of the harder parts to get right

All GOOD, BUT have you even made any poster I mean thumbnail for your creation?
Ahmad Samama's avatar
