The Essence of Renewal is a conceptual CGI skincare commercial created for Karigran’s Essential Peptide Serum.
The film focuses on the relationship between the product and its Mala Oil blend, using a flowing golden oil sequence as the central visual metaphor for nourishment, richness, and renewal.
The warm natural environment, soft botanical shadows, reflective surface, and golden fluid were designed to create an organic yet premium skincare aesthetic, while keeping the serum bottle as the hero throughout the film.
The project demonstrates how CGI can go beyond product presentation to visually communicate a skincare product’s ingredients, benefits, and brand story.
Created entirely in 3D, including product modeling, materials, fluid simulation, lighting, animation, rendering, and compositing.

Directing AI with a strict point of view instead of just prompting and accepting whatever comes back is the actual skill gap right now. most people either avoid AI in brand work entirely or let it flatten their taste. doing both, moving faster and still catching poor output, is a harder discipline than either extreme
