Duovue is a movie discovery app designed to solve a common problem: spending more time choosing what to watch than actually watching it.
The idea came from real life — after countless nights scrolling endlessly with my wife trying to agree on a movie, I decided to create a better experience. Duovue allows two people to connect using a simple code, then swipe through movie options together. Based on each person’s likes and dislikes, the app generates a personalized list of movies both users are likely to enjoy.
This case study explores the full design process behind Duovue, from concept and user pain points to interface design, user flow, branding, and interactive features. It also highlights features like a new releases calendar, social interaction elements, and a streamlined discovery experience built to make movie night fun again.
Duovue is my first app project, launching soon on iPhone and as a web app.

New direction feels softer & more friendly & approachable, for sure!
I just built this using Claude Design, and it’s incredible what’s possible with AI.
I did run into one issue though: I hit the usage limit pretty quickly, and it doesn’t reset for another 7 days… definitely makes upgrading feel like the next step.
Overall, Claude Design is insanely good, looking forward to exploring it further and pushing how we integrate AI into our design workflows.
