Shopify variant check: the visible price and submitted variant can drift apart.

For a focused product-page check in a duplicated, unpublished theme:

Choose two available variants with different prices.

Confirm the selected option, displayed price/image, and product form's submitted variant ID refer to the same variant.

Test sold-out ?variant= deep links, JavaScript disabled, and switching back and forth.

In the merchant's test theme, confirm the cart receives the selected variant and expected quantity. A price-label change alone is not enough.
