Today I'm working on my client journey from start to finish. Over the years I've collected loads of information, free master classes and now I'm trying to see where I can improve and simplify. Mapping it out onto Figma FigJam, really helps my brain! How does everyone else do this? Any tips? 😊

I’d map it in big chunky stages first: Found me → got interested → bought → onboarding → working together → wrap-up → stays in my world
Then for each stage, ask:
What does the client need here? Where might they get confused or overthink? What am I already giving them? What can I...

Thank you so much for your input, that's really helpful. The questions, especially, they will really help me cut the not so helpful stuff. At the moment my code is green tick = done and functional, and eyes emoji means need to take another look. Grey means a next possible phase.

This is great, I have never thought of doing it this way but I think it puts the client journey into prospective well

Great! Hope it helps somehow 😄

I do a similar document when I'm mapping out the layout of a clients website, it really puts everything into perspective!

Right? It's really helpful :)

This is such a good idea! Do you visualise all your business systems?

Yes, systems for me is the best way to see how to improve, streamline and offer the best service to the client. I strongly recommend trying it to see what you can cut, automate or improve. Best of luck!

"Mapping it out in FigJam is a game-changer for clarity! — I’m a big fan of using technical audits and automated implementations across platforms like Webflow and Framer to keep the client journey as high-signal as possible. Do you find that automating the feedback loops helps...

Hi Stanley, great question! I keep everything as human as possible at every stage, the only things I currently automate are minor, internal processes. When it comes to feedback, that's the most important part of the process in understanding the client's needs for me, so I prefer to be 100% human there :)

How's your experience with the client journey
Hayley's avatar
So far so good, I find that the more I refine it, the better my experience of the project. Settings expectations is really the key at every stage.

Hmm I love that.. nice idea
