With usernames becoming part of WhatsApp, I started thinking about what happens when someone finds your username and wants to message you.
Instead of that message going straight into your main chats, I explored a Message Requests section.
The idea is simple:
Someone finds your username then sends you a message then it goes to Message Requests.
You can then preview the message before deciding whether to accept, ignore, or block the sender.
It adds a little more control while keeping WhatsApp’s chat experience familiar.
Just a small UX idea, but one that could make usernames feel much safer and more intentional.
