Claude just entered the design space and I think it's the best thing to happen to freelance creatives.
Not because it does the work for you. Because it removes everything that was slowing you down before the real work even started.
First drafts. Layout explorations. Component builds. Mood board iterations. Claude handles the scaffolding you bring the vision.
As a freelancer, my value was never in how fast I could push pixels. It was always in how clearly I could think about a brand, a problem, a user.
That part? Still completely human.
If you're a creative feeling anxious about this I get it. But the shift is already happening. The question isn't whether to engage with AI tools. It's whether you're going to let them make you sharper or let them make you irrelevant.
I'm choosing sharper.

Context is everything. You can have the best tech in the world, but without that deep community knowledge, the automation and design won't hit the mark. It’s all about turning those years of context into a seamless journey for the creator. Great take!
Day 5 of my Personal Daily Creative Challenge
This one was a bit of a shift from design into building.
I explored using Claude Code to turn the Demetra concept into a faux 3D interactive asset.
Still early, but it’s been interesting using AI as a creative collaborator rather than just a tool, especially for translating ideas into something interactive much faster.
Impressive work
Just launched a recent brand identity project that I successfully completed for CTRL+SHIFT.
Ctrl+Shift is a brand identity project crafted for a forward-thinking platform operating at the intersection of creative technology, culture, and media. Through events, talks, content, and community, the brand brings together artists, builders, and technologists to explore creative intelligence, generative storytelling, and coding as cultural expression.
Editorial and confident, the identity is unapologetically creative-first—slightly irreverent, opinionated, and culture-forward. Designed to feel like a living platform rather than a campaign, the visual language leverages glyph dithering, color halftones, 3D ASCII graphics, and surreal soft sci-fi imagery. Anchored by a pitch-black foundation with vibrant color tints as accents, the system creates a bold yet sophisticated presence for a community built around curiosity, craft, and future-facing creativity.
