“Improve communication” is a wish. A useful review goal says what you will do, when, and what evidence you will bring back.
Fictional example for an employee or independent professional:
“For the next six weeks, send a short Friday project update covering completed work, next steps, and blockers. At the end, ask the project lead which parts helped and what should change.”
This is a specific action and review point—not a promise that a rating or business result will improve.
Try: ACTION + CADENCE + EVIDENCE + REVIEW DATE. Agree on goals with the person evaluating the work, and choose actions you can control.

Not Every Negative Review Should Be Ignored.
A negative review isn't automatically a bad review.
Sometimes, legitimate customer feedback can help a business improve. But what happens when a review is fake, spam, abusive, defamatory, misleading, or against a platform's policies?
That's different.
Before trying to remove a review, ask:
✔️ Does it violate the platform's review guidelines?
✔️ Does it appear to be spam or fake?
✔️ Is it unrelated to the actual business experience?
✔️ Does it contain prohibited or abusive content?
✔️ Can you provide evidence to support your report?
If the answer is yes, there may be a legitimate reason to report it.
I assist businesses with the review assessment and policy-based removal process across platforms including Google Maps, Trustpilot, Yelp, and Glassdoor.
Don't fight every negative review. Understand which ones actually deserve to be challenged.
Every engineering team I talk to has sped up code generation by three to four
times. Almost none of them have changed how they hire.
We still interview the way we did in 2019. Write this function. Solve this on
a whiteboard. Show me you can produce working code under pressure.
That was a reasonable proxy when producing code was the hard part. It isn't
anymore. A model does that in seconds, well enough that testing for it tells
you very little about the person in front of you.
What's left is a different job. Is this correct? Is it safe? Does it fit the
system we already have? Is it even the right thing to build? That's judgement,
and it's the one thing that didn't get cheaper this year.
Which creates a problem nobody's really talking about. If juniors mostly
generate and accept code, where does the judgement come from in five years?
You don't develop a reviewer's instinct by approving diffs you didn't read.
You develop it by getting things wrong and being on call when it breaks.
I don't have a tidy answer, but I'd start by interviewing for review rather
than only for writing — hand someone a pull request with three subtle problems
in it and watch what they do. Make juniors defend code they didn't write,
including the AI's. And stop treating "shipped fast" as the whole signal,
because shipped fast and correct is a different skill entirely.
Generation got cheap. Judgement didn't.
