I’ve been working on this kayak concept for a while. The idea was to create something modern and advanced, but still realistic enough to actually work as a product. I came up with the name KYOKO, inspired by Japanese language and design philosophy, with a focus on precision, balance, and purposeful movement.
The whole concept started with a simple paper sketch and gradually evolved into the final product direction. From the overall shape and functionality to the visual product, the design was built around my original idea from the ground up.
The hardest part was figuring out how the design would actually work in real life everything from the handles and storage compartments to the seat and overall ergonomics had to make sense, not just look good. A large part of the kayak is designed using carbon fiber and thermoformed ABS / PMMA composite, keeping the concept lightweight, durable, and realistic enough to function as an actual product.

I'm Najeeb, a senior UI/UX and Product Designer with 3+ years of experience helping founders and growing businesses translate ambitious ideas into digital products that are simple, intentional, and built to perform.
My process is deliberately end-to-end: user research and strategy to understand the real problem, wireframing and information architecture to structure the solution, high-fidelity UI and interactive prototyping to bring it to life, and scalable design systems to keep it consistent as the product grows. Nothing ships on instinct alone — every decision is grounded in how real users actually behave.
I've led design across wellness, media, and tech — including brand and product work for Rewild Breathwork, Essentia, Motum, and Siena Film — each project shaped to balance user experience with measurable business outcomes like conversion, retention, and trust. I work across web, iOS, and Android, with particular attention to the small interactions that make an interface feel considered rather than generic.
