Yesterday I was at a workshop about using AI tools to start building product ideas without a technical background, and what stayed with me was, on one side how fast people can move from an idea to something tangible (and in some cases even usable) but on the other side, how much the validation step is getting skipped in the middle of all that speed. More and more clients are showing up with AI-built prototypes or mockups that look pretty good, that can be a good way to communicate what they have in mind. However, as a UX designer you start noticing quickly what flows work and what are just untested assumptions sitting inside a nice looking UI. Building something people can actually use and understand is still the part that needs real user research and testing, and I genuinely think that process matters more now than it did before AI, not less.
