I'm just loving strawberry season, which is kind of a big deal here in Germany!

On the theme of a modern utopia, Mara Drozdova created an amazing series of illustrations about guerrilla gardening and I was lucky to animate this one. This cheeky urban gardener is sneakily gobbling one of the strawberries she’s just harvested. To try to maintain the shapes in Mara’s design and stay on-model, I created guide shapes in After Effects, before drawing the outlines in Animate. I then took it back into AE for the final details.
