A series of 8 minimal wordmark concepts where each city's name is reimagined through its most iconic landmark. One letter in every name is replaced by the landmark itself, so the architecture becomes part of the lettering.
The series:
- Karachi: Mazar-e-Quaid replaces the "A"
- Islamabad: Faisal Mosque replaces the "M"
- Lahore: Minar-e-Pakistan replaces the "A"
- Paris: Eiffel Tower replaces the "A"
- Dublin: Spire of Dublin replaces the "I"
- Dubai: Burj Khalifa replaces the "I"
- London: London Eye replaces the "O"
- Berlin: Brandenburg Gate replaces the "N"
Each wordmark pairs a light, clean typeface with a landmark drawn in either fine line work or a bold solid silhouette, all on black for a consistent look. I designed every mark and created a short animation to present them together.
Role: Logo design and concept
Tools: Adobe Illustrator

The C-shaped mark is my pick. The notched outline stays readable even when it gets small. Did the rejections come down to concept, or to how they held up at tiny sizes?

I developed a complete visual identity system for the brand, including the logo, colour palette, typography and usage guidelines.
