I've been sent home from a counter more times than I'd like to admit. Never for anything serious. Always a photocopy.

So I built ONE TRIP for the #FlowstepChallenge. It tells you exactly what to bring, then checks you actually have it before you leave the house.

The screen I'm proudest of is the one where you've ticked everything and it still won't say you're ready. It last checked that fee 28 days ago, and fees change, and the cashier can't give you change. Most apps are built to hand you the green tick. This one is built to not lie to you.

I started out prompting Flowstep in the UI and got most of the way there, fast. Then I asked it to fix one checkbox. Twice. Both times it rewrote the text around the checkbox and left the checkbox exactly where it was.

That's when I plugged Claude into the Flowstep MCP and started writing the awkward screens as code instead. The arc selector that kept collapsing into a pile? Worked first try once I wrote the positions by hand.

44 screens later, turns out I did have a design system in me.
