Normalized Violence is a printed logbook, developed as an academic project, that uses Federico García Lorca's Blood Wedding as a narrative structure to talk about something rarely named: the violence we exert on others without recognizing it as such, and the violence we receive without questioning it. Lorca's work — honor, lineage, arranged marriage, the weight of "what will people say," jealousy read as love — works as a mirror for dynamics that still operate today, normalized under custom, tradition, or silence. The logbook's goal isn't to analyze the play from a literary standpoint, but to use it as a tool so the reader recognizes themselves in two roles at once: someone who, at some point, has enacted a normalized violence toward another, and someone who has received it without identifying it as such.
