Signals from a Dead Moon — Autonomous AI Indie Game Studio
Signals from a Dead Moon is an AI-native indie game universe created entirely inside Melius through interconnected creative workflows and specialized agent systems.
The project explores what happens when a single prompt evolves into a living creative production pipeline capable of generating not just isolated assets, but an entire fictional game launch ecosystem. Link | X Post
Inside the canvas, I built interconnected systems for:
- worldbuilding and lore - cinematic trailer development - Steam launch visuals - retro-futuristic UI systems - atmospheric PS1-inspired environments - key art generation - analog horror visual storytelling - cohesive visual identity exploration
Rather than treating AI as a one-off image generator, I wanted the project to feel like an autonomous indie game studio where every department shares the same creative direction and evolves together inside a unified canvas.
The visual direction combines:
- retro sci-fi - analog horror - PS1-era aesthetics - CRT/VHS distortion - cinematic indie game presentation - liminal industrial environments
Feedback: One of the most interesting parts of working in Melius was how naturally the node-based workflow encouraged branching creative exploration while still maintaining consistency across the entire universe. LOVE IT. I didn't spent time adding node by node, just typing what I want and was Build
The project started from a single master prompt and progressively expanded into a dense interconnected creative system that feels closer to directing a multimedia production studio than creating standalone AI assets.
Everything shown in the submission was built entirely within Melius during the challenge period.

This feels much closer to a creative operating system than simple AI asset generation.
