While I waited for AI to replace me, I've been playing with Figma Motion, creating a post about one of the biggest improvements we've made to our app. One of the biggest revamps since launch, like subcategories, friendlier filtering and sorting, a redesigned Home, and plenty of smaller improvements. Nothing too crazy, just something our team pulled off in two weeks after launching the proximity feature. One thing I'm especially happy about is that Figma Motion already feels like home. I created this animation in about 60% less time than it would've taken me in After Effects or Animate. Figma motion, you rock!

Exploring AI Through a Cinematic Hero Section I wanted to see how far I could push AI beyond generating static UI. So I designed a luxury real estate landing page and used AI to create a cinematic background video that brings the hero section to life. The goal wasn’t just to make it look beautiful. It was to create an experience that immediately communicates luxury, elegance, and aspiration the moment someone lands on the page. This is still a work in progress, but I wanted to share the hero section because I’m genuinely impressed by how AI can now help designers prototype premium experiences much faster than before. AI didn’t replace the design thinking. It helped me bring the vision to life more quickly. The full landing page is still in progress, and I’ll be sharing the complete design soon.
