Series Title: NIX & STITCHTOWN: A Little Courage

Short description of series + pilot:

I created this 1-minute animated pilot as a comedic micro-series set in Stitchtown, a tiny village sewn inside an abandoned patchwork quilt.

The story follows Nix, a small gnome tailor with golden thread instead of fingers. When a frightened mouse asks Nix to sew courage into his vest, the result is much bigger than expected: the mouse transforms into a giant, lion-sized mouse and finally stands up to the neighborhood cat.

He scares the cat away, but accidentally destroys part of Stitchtown with his giant tail. Nix simply watches the chaos with a completely deadpan expression.

At the end, the camera pulls back to reveal a mysterious ghostly face through a torn hole in the quilt, opening the door to a much bigger story.

Where I'd take the series next:

I would explore Nix's mysterious ability to sew emotions and qualities into clothing.

Each episode could feature a new character asking Nix to sew something they need — courage, confidence, luck, strength, invisibility and more.

I would reveal what is behind the mysterious hole in the quilt and what exists outside Stitchtown.

I would also explore Nix's past and why Stitchtown exists inside the quilt.

What I focused on:

I wanted to introduce a memorable character, a unique world, a recurring story format, comedy, conflict and a mystery within a very short pilot.

Problems Faced:

The biggest challenge was keeping the characters, animation and visual style consistent across different shots. I had to regenerate several scenes to improve the expressions, movement and comedic timing.

Fitting the entire story into one minute was another challenge, so I kept the structure simple: setup → transformation → confrontation → chaos → mystery.

Learning:

I learned that creating an AI animation is not only about writing a good prompt. A lot of the process comes from experimenting, regenerating clips and finding the shots that work best together.

My goal was to create a funny standalone pilot while also introducing a world that could continue into a larger animated series.
