What does the exact moment you fell for this craft actually look like?
I turn 30 on the 25th this month, which puts me a decade out from the university where all of this actually started. 🤯
This collages keep alive that era exactly as I remember it: the all nighters that blurred into the next morning's class, the first typeface I picked apart just to understand why it worked, my first real typographic composition, the friends who shared this with me and the illustrations I was too nervous to show anyone at the time.
None of it was good yet. But every decision I make now traces back to those lovely moments which I now treasure 🥹
What's the first project that made you realize this was it for you?
The illustrations you were too nervous to show are the part I'd keep. Seeing the early work makes the whole timeline feel real.
Turning 30 and still tracing threads back to those all nighters is such a good way to measure how far you've come. For me the moment it clicked was the first time a client shipped my work without a single revision request. What was the project that did it for you?
Getting a project delivered withot feedback is the best feeling in the world! I had one of those and I was head over heels hahaha

This is such a great reminder that the work we’re proud of today often starts with experiments we weren’t confident enough to share. Those early projects may not have been perfect, but they build the instincts, taste, and perspective that shape your craft over time.

It’s interesting how the work we once thought wasn’t “good enough” often becomes the foundation for everything we do later. My own journey started with simply wanting to understand how data could answer real business problems. Looking back, those early projects taught me more than I realized at the time.
