They Came In Peace is an experimental website I created to explore the intersection of cinematic storytelling, interactive design, and political satire.
Inspired by a government website about extraterrestrial life, I imagined what might happen if humanity's first contact with visitors from another world became an exercise in bureaucracy.
The experience combines cosmic-horror imagery, atmospheric motion, interactive elements, and deadpan humor to tell that story.
I wanted the website itself to become part of the narrative, with each section revealing a little more about the absurdity of the situation.
This project gave me room to experiment with visual storytelling, responsive design, accessibility, and the technical details that make an interactive experience feel cohesive.
It's a good example of what happens when I take an unusual idea and see how far I can push it creatively.

This is wild to me!
I have worked so hard to build this profile and it just goes to show that you really do get out what you put in. Work has really picked up since I worked on my discovery score and the right clients seem to be finding their way to me. Couldn't be happier.
Congrats on Top 1% — that's huge! 193 is wild. If you don't mind sharing, what moved the needle most for your discovery score? Was it profile completion, case studies, or just consistent posting? Trying to build mine from scratch right now.
Taking an existing identity and stretching it across a whole new campaign is such a good test of a system. This looks like one of those projects where everything just clicked.
