🍔🔥 Introducing EMBER — A Premium 3D Restaurant Website ExperienceI’m excited to share my latest web development project: EMBER, a modern restaurant website designed to combine premium aesthetics, immersive 3D visuals, and smooth scroll-based interactions.

This project helped me explore how 3D visuals and animation can make a restaurant website more engaging and memorable.

For a 3D hero like this, I’d load the scene as it nears the viewport and keep a lighter poster for reduced-motion devices. Have you tested how it feels on a mid-range phone?

That’s a solid set of checks. I’d also test with reduced motion enabled, since it can change how the scroll sequence feels—not just the load time.

After 3 good years on Framer, we moved
@designme to our own stack.
Framer got us far, and I'd still recommend it for a lot of teams.
But the more we grew, the more we needed control: over the code, structure and speed of testing and shipping new things.
So, we rebuilt everything from scratch in Astro.
It's the same setup we now build for our clients (which is exactly why we had to run our own site on it first).
Really proud of the team and how fast we're moving now.

Big move! Framer is great for speed, but having full control over the stack opens up so many possibilities.
Built something that isn’t client work for a change.
Flowkidz. Short games that teach kids design, websites, AI, code and internet safety.
Shapeshift is a looping product-carousel ad I designed as a reusable template for any brand with four products to show (flavours, colourways, a menu), made for Instagram and paid social. Every piece is a named layer: retype the text, drop your photos into the four product slots and recolour, and the motion stays the same. Swap in a different shape set (soft, Mughal or geometric) and the same timing takes on a new personality.
I built it with the SVGator MCP. I came up with the concept and art-directed the motion, colours and every rebrand, while an AI assistant made the layer edits through the MCP. Every version in the video (vivid, light, the Bunsmith burger rebrand and the Mughal shapes) comes from that same file.
