A lot of UI/UX designers are rushing to learn AI tools right now. But I think many people are learning AI the wrong way. Because AI can generate screens fast… but it cannot think like a designer for you. It can give you: • layouts • color ideas • wireframes • copy suggestions • inspiration The hardest part was never “making the UI look good.” It was figuring out things like: • how users compare options • how trust is built between buyers and sellers • how to reduce friction during checkout • how to make navigation feel effortless • how to stop users from feeling lost That’s not something AI magically solves for you. AI speeds up execution. But product thinking is still the real skill. I honestly think the designers who will stand out in the next few years are not the ones who use AI the most. They’ll be the ones who understand humans the most. Because no matter how advanced the tools become, people will still pay for clear thinking, good decisions, and better user experiences. AI is changing design workflows. But empathy, usability, and strategy are still what make products succeed.
