Neurotrace - A Cognitive Care Companion for Dementia Patients
Every three seconds, someone develops dementia. 55 million people worldwide. No cure. The only proven defense is consistent, gentle cognitive engagement - but every tool out there feels like a clinical exam or a children's game. Patients quit within weeks.
Neurotrace is a cognitive care companion that doesn't feel like a tool. It feels like tending a garden.
Every design decision - the warm tones, the botanical imagery, the soft typography was tested with real patients and caregivers. This is what they felt safe coming back to every day.
What it does:
🌿 A living garden that blooms as patients complete gentle puzzle sessions across Memory, Language, Reasoning, and Creativity
🧠 A Digital Brain Twin that maps cognitive health to real brain regions - skip memory exercises, the Hippocampus visually declines; do them, it heals
📊 Passive clinical telemetry - Hesitation Index, Motor Efficiency, and Flow Score. Data a neurologist would actually want
🎨 A Memories gallery that preserves every drawing and creative moment without grading it
♿ Full accessibility suite - text scaling, larger tap targets, reduced motion, caregiver PIN lock. Built for people with real physical and cognitive challenges
🏪 A Zen Shop where patients earn Sunlight Drops to place Koi Ponds, Willow Trees, and Stone Lanterns into their world
No timers. No failure states. No red "wrong" screens. For someone with dementia, the act of trying is the victory.

As someone who's capable of opening the same analytics page 37 times a day, I refuse to judge 😄
What I find interesting is how quickly you've grown in less than two months. Was there a moment when you noticed a clear shift in traction, or did it feel more like a slow accumulation of small wins?

One thing I’m already noticing: journaling makes me pay more attention to the little moments.
Today it was fresh haircuts, quality time together, and another evening of It Takes Two.

I got an email saying that my project has been ✨ 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮 ✨
