🥣 DOPALOOPS: A critique of the era of digital overstimulation
Hi community! I wanted to share my project for the contest. This time, I decided to take a path with a touch of dark humor, a bit of controversy, and a direct critique of one of the heaviest dynamics of modern life: the constant injection of dopamine we live in.
Social media networks know this perfectly well and exploit it to trap us in their algorithms. Traditionally, the moments when we think and come up with our best ideas come from boredom and internal dialogue. Today, that space barely exists; it seems we must be constantly entertained and bombarded with stimuli.
To materialize this idea, I created a fictional product: DOPALOOPS. A breakfast cereal where the flakes are sugar-coated likes and notifications. Now with more dopamine!
🐒 The Character: A reflection of our own trance
The protagonist of this universe is a somewhat dark character. I specifically chose a tarsier because of its gigantic eyes and that particular expression that gives you the feeling it hasn't left its room in years.
It is so hypnotized by its smartphone that it borders on the absurd: it completely ignores the bowl of cereal it is theoretically supposed to be selling. It’s the perfect avatar for our own digital trance.
🛠️ The Workflow with Recraft: The battle for the ideal pixel
Working on the entire series with the Recraft platform was quite a challenge. To be honest, the process was much longer than it should have been, and I spent way more tokens than necessary trying to get the AI to understand the exact composition.
I had a very fixed vision in my head regarding the visual outcome and the level of detail I wanted to achieve, so I took the time to patiently iterate until I reached the closest possible version to what I had imagined.

The idea is to have a character that has its own universe. He's not a mascot for a brand, he is the brand.
It started from a single idea of having someone who takes care of the hidden world beneath us. Initially it was to have a beaver who builds things as a mascot for a real estate or a construction company, but It evolved into a whole universe.
I primarily used Recraft 4V.1 and V4.1 pro along with folkcraft style attached to it.
It was really fun to use the exploration mode and then stick to one character to build a whole whole around it that too with precision.

Amazing 🤩
Here is a fun graphic design project I just finished for a brand called The Cozy Quill. It is a warm, friendly neighborhood bookstore and cafe meant to feel like a cozy, rainy afternoon.
The main character of the brand is Bramble, a cute little hedgehog who loves reading books and drinking hot tea. He is super easy to recognize because he always wears large round reading glasses and a striped scarf.
The main goal of this project was to prove that one character can be used for all parts of a business without changing his look. I designed him using just three simple colors: dark green, rust brown, and cream.
Here is everything I created to bring his world to life:
Logo & Colors: A friendly, hand-written text logo that matches Bramble's colors.
Packaging: Branded coffee cups and paper bags for the cafe.
Fun Merchandise: Cute die-cut stickers, a canvas tote bag, custom bookmarks, and journals.
Posters & Comics: Art prints of Bramble's treehouse library, event posters, and short comic strips showing him wrapping up books for customers.
No matter where Bramble pops up, he looks exactly like himself every single time!😍 🙌
