I feel the contrast could be improved in both versions. The headline and body text are slightly hard to read against the current background tones.

Maybe try darkening the background a bit (or adding a subtle overlay) to increase text readability and make the typography pop...

Go with the orange (#ED7C3F). It's warm and immediately appetizing for food, the blue feels a bit clinical for that context.
