Hey, call me Celestino - engineer, entrepreneur, and builder from Nairobi, Kenya.
You've probably heard of M-Pesa - mobile money that works without internet, pioneered right here in Kenya. That's the kind of problem-solving energy I grew up around ;) .
I've been building since 2021, when I co-founded Safariblocks, a blockchain fintech that secured a $90K grant from the Algorand Foundation and scaled to thousands of users globally. I led the technical side end-to-end, architecture, product, team. I was working with an international team, remotely, a couple of Nigerians, Irish folks, Indians, and Americans
Last year I went deep into AI. Not to experiment, to build.
I created MariaChat, a production AI assistant for Strathmore University, a 9,000-person institution in Nairobi. It helps students, staff, and visitors get campus information instantly. No funding, no mandate - I assembled the team myself, navigated the university bureaucracy, and shipped it with my own money because I believed it would work. It did.
That project became the foundation for Draimo(draimo.com), my AI platform that now deploys agents, chatbots, and intelligent systems for enterprises and universities.
