#figmamakeathon | Daniela Meza Pérez

Since I have access to Make I have been working on different projects, one of them: redesigning the Imagine Apps website. As we have already worked the new Design system, it was easy to just bring it to live. But when we launch the website we face a major challenge: the website couldn’t be indexed on search engines. On an impulsive act, I join the #figmamakeathon as a personal challenge to solve it and also to update de one-page site to a full website. My first approach was to use metapromts, using Chatgpt and Gemini to improve the way I gave the instructions to Make. Spoiler: it doesn’t work. Well, long story short, I decided to create a new Make project where I fix the SEO and performance issues (by giving the screenshot of the pagespeed score) and ask Make (aka Claude) to give me a prompt to fix it on every Make project (cause it seems that is a general problem) and it works!!!! (I try to do the same on the current website but don’t ask me why it didn’t work). But then it breaks all the UI (panic attack), I try everything, given it images of the previous version, new prompts made by other AIs, manifest, light up a candle haha. As my last resource, I just try to talk to Make as I do to my team, I said that we already had a beautiful and powerful design system, that we need to bring it back and start to cheer every progress and… IT WORKS! (It remembers me about a titkok I saw about the toxicity bias, maybe its not that bad just to say thank you not just for survival purposes) Right now I’m still working on, so wish me luck because right now there is only a couple of hours left and I want to implement the blogs also.
