Starting on Contra with zero reviews and zero client history.
My plan to land client #1:
→ Publish clearly labeled concept projects
→ Pitch a few local businesses with spec redesigns of their sites
→ Share the process, not just the final visuals
Designers who landed their first client here: what actually moved the needle for you? Portfolio, outreach, or something else?
I'd love to learn from your experience.
Best of Luck
Made a launch film for @unfair.so with zero After Effects. 🎬
40 seconds. No cuts. Every pixel is code.
→ Headlines that sharpen out of pixel blocks
→ A blue dither that turns day into night
→ 12 creators firing at the same minute, 1.6K → 238K views
→ Calm music with the bass stripped out
Built with Claude Opus 5.5 + teaserkit.com. Self-initiated concept, not a paid client job (yet 👀).
Which moment would you keep if I cut it to 15 seconds? 👇
I used to think picking a coding agent was just a preference thing.
Then I watched one break my API contract while fixing my frontend types.
Three hours. Same mistake. Over and over.
That's when I realized: for full-stack work, the agent doesn't just need to write good code. It needs to see the whole picture.
So I spent real time with both OpenCode and Claude Code.
Here's what I found:
Claude Code is the polished one. Fast. Works out of the box. But you're locked into Claude models only.
OpenCode is the flexible one. Free. Works with 75+ providers. Even runs fully local.
But you set up more yourself.
The speed gap is real. Claude Code finished a cross-file refactor in 2m 15s.
OpenCode took 4m 20s.
But OpenCode writes more tests. And its LSP integration catches TypeScript errors before you even see them.
So which one wins for full-stack?
It depends on one thing: do you want easy mode or control?
I broke down the full comparison... pricing, privacy, speed, the OAuth mess, and my honest verdict.
