Does AI real-time video editing actually work?

Decart lets you transform live video in real time using text prompts.

Since there aren't many tools doing this yet, I was curious to see how well it performs.

I tried to replace characters and objects within video clips.

The technology is promising, but the results were mixed. I found that it struggles with finer details and more complex compositions. I also ran into a fair number of visual glitches during testing.

That said, it's an interesting glimpse of where real-time AI video editing could be heading.

My first test using the new Grok Imagine 1.5 I didn't just get movement, I got mood. The native audio synthesis generates the audio, ambient sounds, and visual motion in one pass, you get a scene that feels cohesive right out of the gate. The audio alignment is a massive step forward, it actually feels synced to the scene.
