The expression on Fyah is what sells it, that unimpressed squint paired with the flame hair is such a specific personality choice instead of generic mascot cute. What part of the brief pushed you toward attitude over friendliness for this one?

Hi everyone!

I’ve just finished my DuoCards redesign project. The goal was to completely reimagine the app while staying true to its original purpose. Before starting, I reached out to the DuoCards team and got their permission to work on this redesign.

Since the mascot plays such an important role throughout the experience, I wanted to make it the centerpiece of this challenge. I completely redesigned the character from scratch and created all of its animations in Rive. I also used Rive to build many of the app’s interactions and menu animations, which made it possible to bring the whole experience to life.

I’ve included a short demo here, but if you’d like to see the full project, feel free to check out the longer video.

I wish I’d had more time to explore all the ideas I had, but building something like this solo is definitely a challenge 😄.

My last minute entry for #RecraftChallenge is GERM. GERM doesn't have a face, a voice, or any interest in your approval. He's a bulky, chrome-masked figure who is the mascot behind biggest underground raves known. If you couldn't already tell- neon and black are his favorite. Like the name says: you catch him, and you don't shake him. Project link: https://www.recraft.ai/project/553e82c7-261b-496e-9b0c-51926d66623c All of the designs, videos, sticker and figurine were done inside Recraft using Exploration mode, GPT 2 and Seedance 2. I did enjoy exploration mode because it helped me set the initial silhouette of him that I sketched out further after. Check the comments for more workflow details. Let me know what you think🔥
