Case Study: Paid Social Creative Framework for DTC Apparel (The Perfect Jean)
Project Overview
High-converting Meta creative requires testing across multiple distinct visual angles rather than relying on a single aesthetic. For this project, I developed a dual-track performance creative suite for The Perfect Jean (a direct-to-consumer men's stretch denim brand), engineering both Studio Branded and Native UGC still-image ads optimized for thumbstop rate and modular scale testing.
The Strategy: Two Divergent Creative Angles

[ STUDIO BRANDED (4:5 Feed) ] [ NATIVE UGC (9:16 Stories) ] • Pattern-interrupt bold colors • Organic peer dialogue (iMessage) • Crisp studio lighting & denim texture • Natural home/candid environments • Irreverent workplace-relatable humor • Native text overlays & habit hooks
1. Studio Branded Concepts (4:5 Meta Feed)
B1 — "Illegally Comfortable": Utilizes a high-contrast safety-orange studio background paired with a folded denim product shot. The bold headline ("Jeans this comfortable should be illegal to wear to work.") dramatizes the core product promise with dry, self-aware workplace humor.
B3 — "Big Type Statement": Minimalist typographic layout on acid-yellow with 70% frame text weight ("Built for sitting, standing, and pretending to listen in meetings."), anchored by a subtle denim pocket detail crop in the corner.
2. Native UGC Concepts (9:16 Stories & Reels)
U2 — "POV Text Thread": Employs a screenshot-native iMessage bubble conversation over a mirror selfie. By mimicking organic friend-to-friend messaging ("bro why do you keep wearing the same jeans" / "because i physically cannot go back"), it bypasses traditional ad fatigue.
U4 — "The Nap Test": Leverages a relatable, candid living room scene ("testing if i can nap in jeans...") to visually prove the loungewear-level comfort claim without studio gloss.

Key Execution Highlights
Thumbstop-Engineered Design: Bold Swiss-style typography (Montserrat Bold) with strict adherence to 9:16 mobile safe zones and high mobile contrast.
Modular Production Architecture: Every concept is built on locked copy and composition frameworks, allowing rapid generation of background and SKU variations once initial CPA winners emerge.
Cross-Format Testing: Structured for parallel A/B testing across feed placements and story inventory.
Deliverables Produced
4 $\times$ Production-ready static ad units (4:5 & 9:16)
2 $\times$ Direct-response UGC short-form video cuts (15s)
Copywriting & hook variations locked to brand voice
